SMITH, STERLING F., “SMITTY” of Clarkston, passed away, Wednesday July 10, 2019 at 85 years of age. Born in Walton Grove, Missouri on July 2, 1934, son to the late Delbert and Angeline Smith. Beloved husband of Marlene Smith for 62 years; dearest father of James Smith, the late Marcia Lynn Smith and the late Kirk Smith; dearest bother of Larry (Diane) Smith. Smitty retired from Fisher Body in Pontiac, after 31 years of service. He was also an avid R/C Airplane flyer.

Kindig, Thomas, age 82 of Bloomfield Hills passed away February 26, 2021 in Pasadena, Maryland surrounded by his children John, Deborah, Robert, and Jennifer. He was a cherished grandfather of 5, great grandfather of 4, and brother to Stan in Arizona. He was a Marine vet and lifetime member of the Oakland County Boat Club, growing up on Sylvan Lake. He loved fishing, golfing, and had a passion for flying RC model airplanes as a long-time member of the Pontiac miniature Aircraft club. Robert, who was better known as Bob, was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 27, 1940, to parents Frank and Helen Fields. He was the youngest of 4 children. He attended De La Salle High School, and kept in regular contact with his classmates throughout his adult life. Bob was a veteran, and proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. He worked for Ford Motor Company for 30+ years, starting out as a test driver, and ultimately retiring as a Dynamometer Technician. He had a love for sports, particularly the Detroit Red Wings and Tigers. He also loved planes, and dabbled in a remote control airplane club. He loved his family, and truly loved getting ready for the holidays, decorating the house and the yard for family gatherings, and collecting Hallmark ornaments and special edition keepsakes to entertain the family with. He was also known to have a special affection for the little ones of the family. Bob could hold a baby and calm them and put any baby to sleep. He was greatly loved by those who knew him, and will be deeply missed.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 2-6:30 PM, at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kindred Hospice, the Wounded Warrior Project, or Michigan Humane Society.

Robert D. Fields, age 80, of Waterford, Michigan, formerly of Sterling Heights, passed away on April 26, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He is the beloved husband of Gwen; Loving father of Stacie Tyree (David), Karen McGuffin (Roger), and Steven Fields (Hideko); Dear step-father of Dawn Harroun and Wendy Shinde (Raaj); Cherished grandfather of Joshua (Alyssa), Jadyn, Cain, Nathan and Nicholas, and step-grandfather of Andrew, Heather (Jon), Priya and Ajaay; Treasured great-grandfather of Emilia.

Chester M. Senior, age 68, of Highland Township, passed away June 6, 2021. Beloved husband of Sherie. Loving father of Christy (Fred) Stites and the late Treasa Flores. Cherished grandfather of Troy Ellsworth, Brayden Stites, Nickolus Stites, Logan (Leanne) Stites. Dear brother of Jeff (Freda) Senior, Lori Jill (the late Joe) Beschoner, Judith (Steve) Kasmiersky and the late Chuck Senior. Proud uncle of many. Chester was preceded in passing by his parents, Arthur Senior and Elizabeth Emmons.

Bob Seeger. Age 96, of Bloomfield, passed away in April, 2021. Bob was a member of the club for many years and served for much of that time on the Field Committee and at time on the Executive Board as Treasurer. Unfortunately, no Obituary or further details are available at this time.
